Fr. John Antony OFM Cap - Founder
He is the Founder and Director of Anugraha. He undertook the founding of this institute, guided it in its initial stage of growth and continues to usher its growth towards its robust health. His contributions to counselling field is remarkable. He is an experienced and insightful psychotherapist with many years of experience as a counsellor and professor. He received his Masters degree in Pastoral Theology from Lateran University, Rome and holds a Masters’ degree in Sociology. He has extensive training in various schools of psychotherapy and psychology. He is an innovative and energetic therapist with a warm personal style. He is a much sought after speaker and seminar leader on such various topics as Gestalt therapy, transactional analysis (TA), related humanistic approaches and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), psychological growth and development and brief therapies. He works with individuals and families, couples and groups. He addresses a wide range of issues, including anger, depression, anxiety, relationship and marital issues, childhood and parenting issues, psychological growth and discernment. He has authored at least nine books in Counselling Psychology. They are Dynamics of Counselling, Skills of Counselling, Types of Counselling, Psychotherapies in Counselling, Family Counselling, Trauma Counselling, Self-psychology, Mental Disorders, and Emotions. He is currently working on a book titled “Psychotherapies in Counselling.” He leads all the courses and seminars conducted in Anugraha.
Fr. Wilson OFM Cap- Director
He is a professional counsellor and has a graduate degree from University of Toronto, Canada in Pastoral Counselling. He holds seminars on a wide range of topics. He likes to work with a variety of persons, including individuals, couples, groups, and adolescents, around how family of origin issues impact current life systems in a way which moves toward healing, wholeness and health. He is interested in psychodynamic and cognitive approaches to working with various age groups. He has specialized in Emotional Maturity (E.Q), Inner Child work, Clinical Psychology and guiding retreats. He is a much sought after person as a therapist for the religious, married couples and those who are severely affected at the emotional level.
Fr. Lawrance OFM Cap - Assist Director
He is a gifted teacher and therapist and works extensively in religious formation frame. He is a professional psychotherapist with a graduate degree from University of Toronto, Canada in Pastoral Counselling. He has done a degree in psychology in Anamalai University. He is an innovative teacher of counselling and psychology and an expert in psychotherapy. He travels widely and holds seminars in various institutions and communities. He is good at working with individuals, couples, families and groups covering a wide variety of needs including grief, abuse, conflict, dependency and so forth.
Fr. Alphonse Charles OFM Cap - Administrator
He earned his Master in Moral Theology from Alphonsianum, Rome and Master of Psychology degree from Annamalai University. He completed the PG Diploma in Counselling at the same University. He took Diploma in Counselling Psychology at Anugraha Institute. In addition to his work as a gifted psychotherapist, he is a much sought after preacher, teacher and retreat leader. He specializes in work with individuals, families and couples, and works extensively with various religious congregations. He is available for teaching, preaching, and leading workshops and retreats.
Fr. S.S. Sahayaraj OFM Cap - Course Co-ordinator
He received his Masters degree in Theological Studies from Antonianum, Rome and his Masters of Arts degree in Psychology from Anamalai University. He completed the PG Diploma in Counselling at the same University. He earned Diploma in Counselling Psychology at Anugraha Institute. He is currently the Course Co-ordinator of Anugraha programmes. His expertise includes working with couples to enhance their relationship as well as working with individuals and families. He has additional training with grief, depression, abuse and trauma issues, and spiritual growth.
Fr. Sathian OFM Cap – Staff Member
He has done a degree in Moral Theology with the University of Alphonsianum, Rome and subsequently took Diploma in Counselling Psychology at Anugraha Institute. For over few years he has been providing counselling to variety of people. He works with individuals, couples of all kinds, and groups. Now he focuses on a variety of providing counselling to individuals, families, religious and adolescents.
Fr. S. Arockiam OFM Cap - Staff Member
A graduate of the St. John’s University, New York, he is the Administrator of Anugraha. He works with individuals, couples and families. He has experience in the areas of youth counselling, career development, disabilities, grief and loss, and spiritual growth and development. He is also interested in the relationship between spirituality, psychology and psychotherapy and has worked extensively with members of religious congregations. He is also experienced at offering guidance to people on spiritual journeys.
Fr. Arul Edward OFM Cap - Staff Member
After his priestly training, he acquired Diploma in Counselling Psychology at Anugraha Institute. Trained at Anugraha as an integrative psychotherapist, Fr. Arul enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families. He enjoys giving presentations on a variety of topics. In addition to working with adults, he also works with adolescents. His speciality is work with children at and work with their families around parenting issues. His special interests include marriage counselling and he is interested works with individuals, families and couples. |
