ANUGRAHA, Institute for Counselling, Psychotherapy and Research designed (1988) by Capuchin Friars of Amala Annai Province, Tamil Nadu, South India. We offer professional psychotherapy training. Anugraha which proved itself as a veritable resource of healing has Fr. John Antony, the Founder its cornerstone and many other friars as its pillars.
Anugraha means Providence or Grace. This Anugraha Institute is the work of God's Providence and not our contemplation. Its humble beginning and gradual expansion will bear witness to the Grace of Providence.
The Anugraha Institute of Social Sciences (AISS) was formed in the academic year 2010-2011 with the starting of the I year BSW course. The AISS has been affiliated to the Madurai Kamaraj University since 18.08.2010. AISS's motto is "Touch to Recreate."
The AISS is located in a rural area (Nochiodaipatti Village) and thus serves the needs of rural people (mostly farmers and agricultural labourers). Fr. S. I. Wilson heads the institute as the Rector of Anugraha. Fr. I. Dewaram Francis Raj is the Secretary of AISS. The Principal in charge is Fr. Dr. R. Isaac.
The Alumini Association was formed in May 2011. It has started with 25 members with the initiative of Mr. Gerald and Mrs. Manjula. It has plans to launch an E- Newsletter, conduct annual update classes, help in fund raising and spread the good news of Anugraha to everyone.
